This short video contains excerpts from Blake's segment on Underage and Under the Influence from NPT and The Renaissance Center.
Blake McMeans has a powerful impact in every school he has presented. After THREE standing ovations, Oakland High School students lined up to shake his hand and speak with him further. Boys and girls alike were visibly moved. If our event does nothing more, we can be certain it has had an impact on many Rutherford County students. One of the students wrote this to Blake:
"Hi Mr. McMeans! I attended the assembly at Oakland high school today. I wanted to thank you again for coming and I also wanted to apologize for starting to cry when I was talking to you! Your story and your faith in Jesus Christ really touched my heart and I just felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude when I shook your hand. It takes a man stronger than myself and anyone else I know to endure the persecution and trials you have suffered. It takes a strong man to not have been offended at God or the people around you or the world or even yourself for going though everything you have gone through, and it takes a strong man with discipline and wisdom to have kept living life boldly knowing that there is a greater purpose. I greatly respect and admire your courage and faith, and I strongly believe that God will reward you and bless you for that, because he loves you with everlasting love. You are going to touch hearts across the world because your life is a testimony and you are going to help people realize that the courage they have on the inside can be bigger than they realize. Thank you for sharing today. I pray for more courage and love for you every single day and that Christ's love with grow in you more and shone through you. He has great plans for you, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11) Have a nice day and thank you."
